Car Exporter in Singapore: Sell Your Car for Export
ExportCarSG buys cars in Singapore for export, then ships them to overseas buyers who still want them. If your car has value abroad, export usually pays more than the local scrap price.
Island-wide collection · cash on the spot · we file the LTA de-registration
Scrap or export?
Toggle the two options to see what changes. When export wins, we pay you the higher number. When it doesn’t, we say so.
What you get
An exporter pays for the car as a car, not as raw material. If your model still sells well in right-hand-drive markets overseas, that demand can put real money on the table.
How the payout works
Priced on make, model, year and how much demand there is for it abroad. Popular models with strong resale overseas can beat the local scrap value.
What we handle
- Find a buyer abroad through our overseas partners
- File and confirm the LTA de-registration
- Sort export permits and the shipping paperwork
- Collect island-wide and pay cash on the spot
What you get
A scrapyard pays you for the car as raw material, plus whatever rebate is left on it. Simple and quick, but the car ends up crushed.
How the payout works
Scrap value plus the remaining rebate. There’s no overseas demand adding to the price, so it’s a floor rather than a ceiling.
When scrap is the better move
- The model has little demand in overseas markets
- Parts are hard to source abroad, so buyers stay away
- Not every car clears the export bar, and we’ll tell you straight
How exporting works
Short and hands-off. You’re not the one dealing with foreign buyers or freight forwarders. Tap any step to see the detail.
1 Tell us the car
Send us the make, model, year and a few photos on WhatsApp. We’ll give you a firm number before we commit to collection, so there are no surprises later.
2 We find a buyer abroad
Through our overseas partners, we match your car to a buyer in a market that still wants it. That overseas demand is what lets export beat the local scrap price.
3 Agree a price
We settle on a number together. If there’s an outstanding loan, we work the settlement into the deal so the balance comes off the price and the rest is yours.
4 We de-register and collect
We file the LTA de-registration so the car is officially off your name, then collect it wherever it sits, condo carpark, HDB season lot or your driveway. No towing to arrange.
5 You get paid, the car ships out
Cash on the spot when we take the car, often the same day we collect. Then it goes on a container out of Singapore and gets a second life somewhere else.
Curious what your car is worth?
Run the numbers on any leftover rebate in a minute, then message us the model and year for a firm export price. Checking costs you nothing.

Which cars export well
Late-model cars in clean condition tend to export best, especially popular Japanese and Continental models with parts still easy to source abroad. Age matters less than demand. We’ve moved cars a local yard barely wanted because a buyer overseas was after that exact model.
Just ask. Checking costs you nothing, and we’ll tell you straight when scrapping is the better move.

How much will you pay for my car?
It depends on the make, model, year, and how much demand there is for it overseas. Popular models with strong resale abroad fetch more than local scrap. Send us the details or a few photos on WhatsApp, and we’ll give you a firm number before we commit to collection.
Do I need to bring my car to a yard?
No. We come to you, whether the car sits in a condo carpark, an HDB season lot, or your driveway. Our team drives across Singapore for collection, so you don’t arrange towing or waste a Saturday at some industrial yard. Tell us the postal code and we’ll sort the timing.
Is exporting my car legal, and who handles the paperwork?
Yes, exporting a de-registered car is a normal, legal process in Singapore, and we handle the LTA side for you. We file the de-registration, sort the export permits, and manage the shipping documents. You sign what’s needed and hand over the keys. No trips to LTA, no chasing forms.
How fast can I get paid?
Often the same day we collect. Once we agree on a price and the paperwork checks out, you get cash on the spot when we take the car. If there’s an outstanding loan or a joint owner, it can take a little longer, and we’ll tell you upfront how that plays out.
Can you still take my car if it has an outstanding loan?
Usually, yes. Plenty of cars we buy still have a loan against them. We work out the settlement with your finance company as part of the deal, so the outstanding amount comes off the price and the rest is yours. Bring your loan details when you ask for a quote.
